Both the Hummer EV SUV and EQB have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Hummer EV SUV has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The EQB’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Hummer EV SUV. But it costs extra on the EQB.

The Hummer EV SUV’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the EQB.

The GMC Hummer EV SUV’s Surround Vision has integrated front and rear camera washers, ensuring clear, all-weather visibility without the need for manual cleaning. In contrast, the Mercedes EQB lacks camera washers, requiring you to manually clean the cameras for optimal performance.

Both the Hummer EV SUV and the EQB have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The GMC Hummer EV SUV weighs 3845 to 4248 pounds more than the Mercedes EQB. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

GMC’s powertrain warranty covers the Hummer EV SUV 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Mercedes covers the EQB. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the EQB ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

The Hummer EV SUV’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the EQB’s (6 vs. 5 years).

There are over 4 times as many GMC dealers as there are Mercedes dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Hummer EV SUV’s warranty.

For better traction, the Hummer EV SUV has larger tires than the EQB (305/55R22 vs. 235/50R19).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Hummer EV SUV has standard 22-inch wheels. The EQB’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

The GMC Hummer EV SUV’s wheels have 8 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Mercedes EQB only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

The Hummer EV SUV has a standard full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the EQB; it requires you to depend on its run-flat tires, which limits mileage and speed before they are repaired. If a run-flat is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard your vehicle will have to be towed. Some tire options on the EQB don’t have a run-flat feature, either.

The front and rear suspension of the Hummer EV SUV uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the EQB, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Hummer EV SUV has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Hummer EV SUV’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The EQB doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Hummer EV SUV’s wheelbase is 15.3 inches longer than on the EQB (126.7 inches vs. 111.4 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Hummer EV SUV is 10.9 inches wider in the front and 10.9 inches wider in the rear than on the EQB.

For better maneuverability, the Hummer EV SUV’s turning circle is 3 feet tighter than the EQB’s (35.4 feet vs. 38.4 feet).

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Hummer EV SUV has standard extendable sun visors. The EQB doesn’t offer extendable visors.

The Hummer EV SUV has standard heated front seats. Heated front seats cost extra on the EQB. The Hummer EV SUV also has standard heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated second row seats aren’t available in the EQB.

The Hummer EV SUV has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the EQB.

The GMC Hummer EV SUV has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the driver’s visor. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Mercedes charges extra for Homelink® on the EQB.

The Hummer EV SUV is equipped with both FM and AM stereo radios, offering access to more content and better coverage than the EQB, which solely provides FM radio. With AM radio, you can enjoy a wider variety of stations featuring news, talk shows, sports commentary, native language programing, automated traffic guidance, and emergency broadcasts. AM waves travel further and penetrate buildings and obstacles more effectively than FM signals, especially at night. Having both FM and AM stereo radios the Hummer EV SUV offers a more comprehensive listening experience compared to only FM in the EQB.

HD Radio boasts several benefits over conventional radio: superior sound quality with clearer and consistent FM broadcasts, CD-quality audio, and Multicast Channels offering up to four streams from a single station, adding programming choices. Cars like the Hummer EV SUV equipped with available HD Radio provide an improved in-car entertainment experience. The EQB, devoid of this technology, foregoes these benefits. Selecting the GMC Hummer EV SUV empowers drivers to enjoy a more immersive and enjoyable listening experience while on the go.
